On trying to be productive in August

Someone remind me that my tablet has a camera too, so I can take some snaps of the 10 minigenues I have strung today, tomorrow (also, need to take measurements). Really feels like back to square one, with the big girls I have all my fittings sorted, this new one is smaller, fiddlier and of course it’s impossible to find the bits I need on short notice or in August when many businesses close for holidays. So the foot springs are cut down from the big girls, for example. Every step feels like it takes forever, and ever so slowly accelerating as I start to build muscle memory and automate the tasks. In the end this is one of the processes I enjoy, I just don’t like to be stressed and rush through.

About the wonky knee…. Seems all left knees of my sculpts have a tick like this…. For now I have used stickyback anti-slip pads, definitely a non permanent solution that you can easily peel out and that will probably not last very long anyway. It just irks me to send out something that isn’t all it can be and not have time to find a better fix, but at least you will get some idea of how she should be able to hold a pose. With tight string, I have gotten a partially assembled doll with surgical clamp for a lower leg to stand on the one toe she had.

These dolls should ship later in the week, perhaps along with some big long layaway girls if they arrive as expected. Will try to do as much as I can these days before I leave again, and have it on good authority that they will be taken to the PO for me.

I really appreciate the honestly about the knee. I feel like all your hard work is apparent and you sharing this information with your fans helps us to appreciate that a lot more. I don’t have a doll on the way but I’ll love to order one from you in the future! Especially since you have so much integrity and passion 🙂

Please just take your time and don´t worry or stress over it. <3 I don´t think I´m only one who really appreciates how you concentrate on the quality of the dolls to make them as perfect as possible. It makes me even more happy being able to own one of your wonderful creations! And making a new sculpt there are always something to fix or some surprises on the way.
